Accessible Parking Accessible parking spaces are located in the East and South parking lots. You must have a valid person with a disabled parking placard to park. Parking is first come, first served and spaces are limited. An early arrival is strongly recommended. CLICK HERE for parking maps.
Accessible Seating Accessible seating is located in the following sections: B5, B11, B14, B18, C1, C16, C31, C32, East Igloo 2 and 3, West Igloo 2 and 3. Accessible seats in the C level may be reached by elevators or ramps. Section availability may vary depending on type of show.
For non-Pittsburgh Penguins events, a limited amount of accessible seating is available during the on-sale through Ticketmaster. Once their allotted amounts are sold, please call 412-642-1800 for further information.
For Pittsburgh Penguins hockey games, accessible seating may be purchased by calling the Pittsburgh Penguins Customer Service Department at 412-642-1842.
Admission Children twenty three months and under do not require a ticket to MOST events at Mellon Arena provided that they sit on the lap of an adult throughout the entire event. Please check each event individually for age requirements.

Alcohol Guests of Mellon Arena must be 21 years of age or older to purchase and/or consume alcoholic beverages. ARAMARK reserves the right to check proof of legal drinking age.
There is a maximum of TWO (2) alcoholic beverages per purchase at all concession stands and portable vendors.
For Pittsburgh Penguins games, all alcohol sales within the arena will conclude at the beginning of the third period. Individual concerts and events are determined on a show to show basis.
ARAMARK has the right to discontinue the sale of alcohol at anytime during an event.

Assisted Listening Devices Guests of Mellon Arena who are hearing impaired may request an amplification device for any event at the Arena. Please contact 412-642-1800 or email info@mellonarena.com to ensure the proper device is available when you attend the event. A photo ID is required when borrowing the device and all amplification devices are operable from any seat.
ATM Machines For the convenience of our fans, there are THREE (3) Citizen Bank ATM's located at Mellon Arena. Locations are in the main concourse, one is just outside of the Igloo Club on the West side of the building and one is outside of the East Igloo Lounge. The third is outside the building at the Gate #1 Box Office. Please note that some concession stands and portable vendors do not accept debit or credit cards.
Autographs Mellon Arena does not support solicitation of autographs of any kind on Mellon Arena property. Mellon Arena cannot accept autograph/photograph requests by mail.
Automotive Assistance Program AAA will have a "Puck Truck" at all Penguins home games. The "Puck Truck" is available to assist patrons that have trouble with their vehicles in the Mellon Arena lots only. Fans can call 1-800-AAA-HELP after the start of the third period. ← Back to Top B
Baby Changing Stations Baby changing stations are available in most of the public restrooms at Mellon Arena.
Backstage Passes Mellon Arena does not issue or sell backstage passes to events. Backstage access is strictly limited and is arranged by tour management.
Bags, Backpacks and Purses For security purposes, only small personal bags (purses, baby or diaper bags, etc) will be permitted inside Mellon Arena and all items are subject to searches upon entrance.
Large bags, coolers, backpacks and sealed packages (including gifts for performers and or athletes) of any kind are not permitted.
Banners and Signs Banners and signs are permitted providing they are in good taste, as deemed by building management. Signs must not be commercial in nature or utilize wood, metal or other types of objects for support. They cannot be hung or fastened anywhere in the building or in any way obstruct another guest's view or building signage.
Binoculars Binoculars and their cases are permitted for most events. All items are subject to searches upon arrival. Mellon Area advises guest to check the individual event page for confirmation.

Bottles and Cans No bottles, cans or coolers are permitted inside Mellon Arena.
Box Office The Mellon Arena Box Office is located at Gate #1, off of Mario Lemieux Place and Centre Avenue. The Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm, Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and is closed on Sundays with exceptions to event days.
On an event day, the Box Office will be open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. Mellon Arena Box Office hours are subject to change as a result of varying event times or holidays.

Cameras Cameras are permitted into Mellon Arena for Pittsburgh Penguins hockey games and most events. If allowed, Mellon Arena building policy allows only small personal still camera (preferably disposable) equipped with 3 inch lens or smaller be brought into the Arena. Cameras with detachable lenses or flashes are not permitted. Video, audio and professional camera and recording devices are strictly prohibited in the Arena.
For all other events, camera policies will vary. Please check the individual event page for further information.
Cellular Phones Use of cellular phones in the Arena is permitted, as long as it does not disturb other fans in the area or interfere with their ability to enjoy the event.

Designated Drivers Guests of legal drinking age who hold a valid driver’s license and wish to sign up to be a designated driver, may stop by the Designated Drivers booth located behind section B3 during Pittsburgh Penguins games. In return for safe and sober transportation of their group from Mellon Arena, the designated driver will receive a coupon redeemable for a complimentary soft drink during the game.
Designated Drop- Off / Pick-Up For disabled guests convenience, two accessible drop-off and pick-up points are available.

Donation Request All requests must be made in writing on event/company letterhead a minimum of 4-6 weeks prior to the event date. The request must include date, time and beneficiary of funds raised.

Elevators Elevators are located on the East and West sides of the arena. Accesses to these elevators are limited to premium seat holders and patrons with disabilities.
Emergency Evacuation In the event of an emergency, Mellon Arena staff will utilize the public address (PA) system to inform guests of the situation and any instructions as applicable. All exits and emergency exits are posted with appropriate signage.

Entrances and Exits Mellon Arena has two main entrances for the general public. Gate #1 is located near the corner of Mario Lemieux Place and Centre Avenue. Gate #3 is located near the corner of Washington Place and Centre Avenue.

Family Fun Packs In conjunction with Giant Eagle, Mellon Arena offers Family Fun Packs for many family shows. With the discounted ticket package, patrons may purchase four tickets to an event along with four hot dogs, four soft drinks, and a bounce back offer from Giant Eagle or Get Go. Please visit the individual event page to check for availability.
Family Restrooms There are no family restrooms located within Mellon Arena.
Fan Courtesy Policy Mellon Arena is committed to exceeding the expectations of every guest by delivering the best sports and entertainment experience with quality guest service and exceptional value at a world-class venue.
As a means of creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for all guests, Mellon Arena asks for your assistance and compliance with the following:
- Abusive or foul language and obscene gestures directed towards other guests, arena employees, players, coaches, performers or officials.
- Clothing containing offensive language or indecent graphics.
- Intoxication or other signs of impairment related to alcohol or drug consumption.
- Smoking, except in designated areas located outside the arena.
- Banners or signs that obstruct the view of guests, obscure advertising or impede the operations of Mellon Arena, contain objectionable subject matter or are commercial in nature. Mellon Arena reserves the right to remove any banner or signage at any time.
- Prohibited entry items such as containers, food and beverage, air horns, weapons and laser pointers.
- Guests entering or attempting to enter restricted areas without proper authorization or credentials.
- Throwing objects, either within the seating section or onto the ice or event performance area.
- Guest who are disruptive to the event presentation, performance or game.
Guests encountering difficulties and concerns are urged to contact the Mellon Arena staff immediately.
Guests not abiding by this Fan Courtesy Policy are subject to ejection from Mellon Arena and in some cases subject to criminal prosecution.
First Aid First Aid station is located on the main concourse behind section B5. Paramedics from the City of Pittsburgh are onsite for all events. If you are in need of medical attention, please notify a Mellon Arena employee immediately.
Food and Beverage No food or beverages of any kind are permitted to be brought into Mellon Arena. Concessions stands located throughout the arena sell a wide variety of food, alcoholic and non- alcoholic beverages. Pennsylvania State Law prohibits the sale of alcohol to all persons under the age of 21. Guests are required to show proper identification and proof of age when purchasing alcoholic beverages.

Igloo Club To be eligible for membership to the Igloo Club, an individual must be a Penguins Full Season Ticket Holder. The membership year starts annually on September 1st. Pennsylvania Liquor Law dictates the only individuals may be listed as members. Corporations, partnerships, or other such entities can not hold membership. TAG- A- KID sponsored by Barrier Protection In the event a parent and child might get separated at a Mellon Arena event, parents can register their child with the Tag-A-Kid program sponsored by Barrier Protection. A wristband with the parent's seat location and contact information will be given to the child. Registration is available at the Customer Service booth located at Gate #1 in main concourse behind PenStation, as well as at the Pittsburgh Penguins Customer Service booths during Pittsburgh Penguins games.

Lost and Found If an item is lost or found during an event please see the information booth located on the main concourse at Gate #1. Lost items can be claimed at the information booth near Gate #1 during an event. Guests inquiring about lost items after an event should call Cindy Clark at 412-642-1800 for information. Items lost at events are held in storage for thirty (30) days and then either disposed of or donated to an appropriate charity.
Lost or Stolen Tickets For non hockey events, please CLICK HERE for information regarding lost or stolen tickets.
For Pittsburgh Penguins hockey games, tickets that are lost, destroyed or inaccessible will be subject to a three (3) dollar reprinting fee. In the event that a ticket is reprinted, the bar code on the original ticket will be voided. To have a replacement ticket issued, please call the Penguins Customer Service Department at 412-642-1842. Only tickets purchased through the Pittsburgh Penguins office as part of a Full or Half Season Plan are eligible for reprints. National Anthem Singers To be considered to sing the national anthem, for Pittsburgh Penguins games, please submit a tape, CD or video of you performing the national anthem to the address below. Materials submitted must be a maximum of 90 seconds long. No other songs will be accepted. Items will not be returned.

Prohibited Items No bags, back packs, air horns, cooler (hard/soft sided), thermoses, large purses, cans, bottles, flasks, alcoholic beverages, laser pointer, video or audio recording devices, professional cameras/lens, tripods, banners or signs on poles, weapons or any other items deemed dangerous and/or inappropriate.

Scalping/ Ticket Reselling Guests may not re-sell tickets at any price on Mellon Arena property. To avoid issues with counterfeit, stolen, void or other invalid tickets, tickets should only be purchased from an authorized Ticketmaster outlet or Mellon Arena box office.

Security In the interest of guest and staff safety, a search process is required for all events in order to prevent guests from bringing unauthorized and prohibited items into the arena.
Service Animals Certified service animals or service animals in training for guests with disabilities are welcome into Mellon Arena. All service animals must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times within the Arena. All other animals are not allowed in Mellon Arena unless specified by management.
Smoking Policy Smoking is not permitted inside Mellon Arena, however, designated smoking areas are located outside the building and are accessible via the main concourse level outside of sections B14 and B28.
Solicitation The distribution of promotional items, handbills, flyer's, pamphlets, printed materials, as well as the solicitation of signatures, is not permitted on Mellon Arena property without proper authorization from management.
Special Announcements Birthday and anniversary messages can be displayed at Pittsburgh Penguins hockey games only. A twenty dollar ($20) donation is required to Make-A-Wish foundation. To have a special announcement displayed CLICK HERE. All requests must be placed at least forty eight (48) hours prior to each game.

Wheelchairs A limited number of wheelchairs are available for transporting guests that are disabled to their seating location. Guests can be transported from the gates to their seats. If a wheelchair is needed for the duration of the event, guests must supply their own wheelchairs. Wheelchairs cannot be reserved in advance.
Upon arrival, guests can arrange for a wheelchair at any entrance of Mellon Arena. Please see a Mellon Arena employee to assist with wheelchair transportation.
Will Call Tickets ordered or prepaid can be picked up at the Mellon Arena Box Office, located at Gate #1. Will Call windows open one hour prior to events and patrons must present valid photo identification when picking up tickets.
